REGISTRATION AND HOLDING FEES:
1. A non-refundable registration fee of $75.00 plus the first week’s tuition per child is required when enrolling at the Center. The first monthly bill issued at the child’s arrival at Hometown will reflect a credit for the first week’s tuition.
2. If a child on the attendance tuition plan leaves the center for more than one month, (for instance, for summer vacation) and wishes to return, a non-refundable holding fee of two weeks tuition is required. The first monthly bill issued at the child’s return to Hometown will reflect a credit for the first week’s tuition.
PAYMENT OF FEES:
1. Tuition bills are issued on a monthly basis. WEEKLY PAYMENTS ARE DUE BEFORE NOON ON THE FRIDAY PRIOR TO THE WEEK CARE IS RECEIVED. Advance tuition payments, at the discretion of the parents, may be made on a biweekly or monthly basis. A monthly statement is issued after the 15th of every month and reflects the billing and payment history for the prior 6-8 weeks.
2. All checks should be made payable to Hometown Children's Center, Inc. A $50.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. Cash payments will be accepted with a receipt issued for your records. A tax statement for paid childcare services will be prepared annually.
3. Payments not received by the due date shall result in the assessment of late fees beginning with the first late day. The first late day fee is $10.00 and $2.00 for each day thereafter. The assessment of late fees is at the discretion of the director, who will notify you in writing of any late fees assessed.
4 Off-site field trips are billed separately, and these fees are due in advance of the field trip.
5 All tuition payments are non-refundable (extenuating circumstances will be determined by the Center Director).
SCHEDULES and ABSENCE POLICIES:
1. Hometown Children's Center is open weekdays from 6:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. The center is closed for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving,, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July. The center may also be closed the day before or after a holiday when it falls on a Tuesday or Thursday. Unscheduled closings due to bad weather, snow or an unforeseen catastrophe will be announced via radio - WSPT.
2. Parents are responsible for notifying the Center office of absences due to illness via telephone or written correspondence between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. Staff members are not to be expected to convey absentee message.
3. For those children on the attendance tuition plan, schedules are monthly contracted and are considered set as of the second day of the month. Arrangements to deal with special circumstances are at the discretion of the director and will be provided in writing.
4. For those children on the enrollment tuition plan, full time schedules (5 days per week) are contracted for twelve consecutive months. Arrangements to deal with special circumstances causing extended absence from the center are at the discretion of the director and will be provided in writing.
5. Classroom assignment is generally age specific but the exact date of transfer from one classroom to the next will depend on the enrollment of the center and the needs of the child. When a child moves from the Infant/Toddler program to the Pre-School program, Pre-School Tuition will apply beginning with the first full week in the Pre-School Program.
LATE PICK UPS:
A penalty of $5.00 for the first 5 minutes and $3.00 for each minute thereafter will be charged for late pick up of children after 6.00 P.M.
PARENT TERMINATION:
A two-week written notice is required for terminating enrollment at the Center. Payment of the last two weeks tuition is required when termination notice is given.
CENTER/INVOLUNTARY TERMINATION:
A parent may be asked to withdraw their child from the Center when:
1. It is evident the child cannot adjust to the program's environment.
2. A child's behavior becomes physically or emotionally detrimental to other children participating in the program.
3. A parent fails to complete and submit the required forms.
4. A parent fails to pay fees when due.
5. A parent fails to observe Center's regulations including but not limited to departure rules, calling in absences, etc.
6. A parent uses inappropriate language in front of the children or staff of the center
7. A parent fails to respect the personal and private lives of the children or staff of the center.
8. Excessive unexcused absenteeism.
